Another school year has already begun in many parts of New England. For many teens this will be their first year of driving themselves to school. While driver's education programs are obviously important, it is equally important that parents impress upon their teens the absolute necessity of safe driving.

In my career, I have represented several teenagers who suffered life changing injuries as a result of car accidents on their way to or from school. This has underscored for me how important it is for teens to drive carefully and defensively. Parents can not stress this enough when one considers what is at stake.
