Weare (New Hampshire) police say a woman who hit two girls with her car won't be charged because her actions weren't reckless, negligent or intentional.

Police say Michelle Housman was speaking to her seven-year-old son in the backseat and did not see the bus stopped in front of her yesterday morning. Housman swerved to avoid hitting the bus, hitting the two girls on the side of the road. The girls - seven and nine, were thrown in the air onto the roof of the car but they were unhurt aside from minor bumps and bruises. Authorities say their backpacks may have saved them from serious inury.

Detective Lou Chatel says as a mother herself, Housman is quite upset about the crash, which he called the definition of an accident.
