Mirraco LLC is recalling 11,000 BMX bicycles. The front wheel forks on the bikes may have been welded improperly. This defect can pose a risk that the weld can fail and the rider can lose control and fall.

So far, the firm has received four reports of steer tube rotation and one report of a fork seperation due to weld failure. No injuries have been reported.

The recall included BMX bicycles. The model name is printed on the bike. Consumers should discontinue using the bikes immediately and have them inspected by a Mirraco dealer. If the inspection shows the bike is part of the recall, repairs will be made free of charge.
